25hours Hotel is coming to Florence

25hotel Florence will open in a year, in the very heart of the capital of the Italian Renaissance. Main theme of the project: Dante’s Divine Comedy. The whole architectural 172-keys complex, has been carried out by Genius Loci Architettura, whereas the realization of the interiors has been assigned to Paola Navone.

This 25hours Hotel is going to be the first one of its kind in Italy: according to 25hours Hotel founder partner Christoph Hoffman, it is a choice that has been encouraged by “the massive historical and artistic heritage of the city of Florence, together with its international attractiveness”.

There will be a double operation to carry on the site: the re qualification of Monte di Pietà (a part of the old San Paolino convent, in disuse for more than ten years), and the edification of the rest of the site.

The intervention by Genius Loci Architettura

During Spring 2020, when the Hotel will open its doors to the first customers. It will be accessible by Piazza San Paolino: according to GLA architects, the square will become a central attractive point on the building, underlining the essential relationship between historical areas of Florence and its local churches. According to the plan, the square will turn into churchyard, and will give access to the Hotel through a set of stairs and a ramp.
