The GLA team proudly shares a closer, charming insight on The Angle, that has now come to a new life. We start by showing the stunning restoration work that has been done to the building’s Liberty facades and external decorations. GLA’s objective in this project, in fact, was not only to fully visualize and construct the interiors of this future office and retail area in the heart of Milan, but also restore the original beauty of the facades. The pictures below display The Angle’s beautiful South-West facade, together with the main entrance on Corso Italia 3, and the refined Liberty decorations.
The Angle is all about innovation and functionality. It is the very first building in Milan that was constructed respecting the FITWEL certificate guidelines, which promote the highest level of environmental well-being. The Angle has also received the LEED Gold certification, which ensures the highest standard of ecological awareness. Here is an insight look at the main entrance front desk and historical decorations of the ceilings.
The Angle’s main staircase is a handshake between the past and the present: it embraces both Liberty and Contemporary design choices. This concept of “compromise” inspired GLA throughout the whole renovation process of this architectural gem, in the heart of Milan. The romantic charm of the facades and historical architectural elements are paired with rational, flexible and efficient interior design, to create living standards of the highest quality. These shots follow the staircase form the main entrance reception to the upper floors.
Today, more than 70% of the total surface has been reserved for leading. The Angle will become a point of reference for the South CBD district of Milan. The renovation has been successfully completed in less than 18 months time.
