The Masterplan ‘Cantiere Mediterraneo’ – so renamed after the old shipyards of Pietra Ligure – envisions a complete redesign of approximately 600 meters of the waterfront of Pietra Ligure with a view to re-opening to the city an area that for decades has been an insurmountable margin and boundary, transforming it into a center of urbanity, cohesion, openness, and socialization.

Starting from the existing limits posed by the railway line and road system, which currently act as a big divide, the idea is to transform them into an opportunity to establish an unbreakable relationship between land and sea with a continuous succession of public spaces and paths in contact with water.

The mix of private and public functions is skillfully balanced and evenly distributed within the area, offering, from East to West, a blend of landscapes, a multiplicity of functions and stimulating and attractive paths enjoyable by everyone in all seasons.

The vocation of the project for the new Marina with its port, which is the starting and ending point of the whole project, is to provide all housing units with a better housing quality thanks to the privileged views over the sea and the urban park, and to offer high-quality commercial spaces that blend with the market area located on the ground floor of the building that used to be taken up by the management and the exhibition area in the building that previously hosted the canteen, adjacent to Piazza di Levante characterized by multiple functions.

The hotel located near Piazza di Levante, thanks to its shape and sloping terraces, enhances the views towards the sea from all rooms.

The accommodation facility, located by the sea and in a large, highly attractive green park, is equipped with MICE spaces, outdoor pool, and a roof-top club house.
