The Office Building is part of Metanopoli, a village built in 1952 prompted by a vision of Enrico Mattei, head of the ENI company, who instructed architect and urban planner Mario Bacciocchi to design a new garden city for ENI’s workers.

The office building will be renovated and will be named Greenside Business Factory. The project aims to give new value to the indoor and outdoor environments by providing the complex with services and spaces for work and leisure available to the property users. Therefore, the reception area will be dismantled and built from scratch with a fresh and modern look, a gym, and an outdoor area to be used as a bar and restaurant will be developed. Great emphasis has been given to the green characterization of the open spaces.

The inner courtyard will become a large urban forest accessible both to those living in the building and to outside users who will enjoy the facility’s restaurant/bar. The green area will feature a relax area, open-air seating, outdoor event space and bicycle parking: a green courtyard serving the community. GREENSIDE stems from a responsible architectural design that places energy efficiency and environmental sustainability at the center of the entire complex. In fact, it aims to achieve the LEED – Silver Level certification.
